Dermal filler treatments are used to soften and contour lines, folds, and wrinkles. Unwanted folds and wrinkles can be ‘plumped up’ to reduce their appearance, resulting in a smoother, more youthful looking skin. They are particularly suitable for the lower face. The naso-labial lines (between the nose and mouth), marionette lines (around the mouth), the lips, ‘smokers lines’, cheeks, chin, tear trough, temples, jowls and nose can all be treated.
The effects of dermal filler treatments usually last for 4-18 months. Most clients have top-ups when they feel the effect is starting to diminish. With repeated treatments the effects can often last much longer. If you choose not to have the treatment repeated the correction of the wrinkles and the enhanced lip effect will gradually become less noticeable until your skin looks like it did before the treatment.
Dr Tallent uses a range of dermal fillers, with formulations to treat everything from fine lines to deep folds and wrinkles.
Thin fillers can be used for your lips and mouth area, such as ‘smoker lines’, as well as other fine lines. A smooth gel is used to give a soft, natural feel, and results can last from 4-12 months. It can also be used to treat the tear trough hollows underneath the eye.
A medium thickness filler is excellent for smoothing slightly deeper lines such as the nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines) and marionette lines (down turned mouth corners), as well as adding volume to the lips, with a duration of 6 to 15 months.
The thickest products replenish lost skin volume to regain a youthful curve to enhance the overall shape of your face, in the cheeks, temples, chin, jowls and jaw line. The lifting effects can last 9 to 18 months. They can also be used as a non-surgical nose job to smooth bumps and dips.
A full face rejuvenation or non-surgical facelift, involves using several syringes of filler to add volume, smooth and lift the face. There is not a one size fits all approach, every persons face is different, and so is assessed to work out where filler would be best placed to make natural improvements. The treatment can be planned and separated over several sessions if preferred. There is a small discount for multiple syringes of filler, but we do not offer package pricing, as each treatment is bespoke.
If you are looking to improve your skin quality, then a very fine filler can achieve this with just one treatment lasting up to 9 months. Sometimes known as skin-boosters, these help attract and hold moisture within the skin to restore a healthy natural glow, by improving the skin’s smoothness, hydration and elasticity. Dr Tallent can treat your face, neck, décolletage, and hands. It involves multiple tiny injections of a smooth hyaluronic acid.
Hyalase
If you have had a filler procedure that you are not happy with, Dr Tallent can use Hyalase treatment to dissolve hyaluronic acid based fillers. This can be used for small lumps, asymmetry, or wider spread undesirable result. This is an enzyme that breaks down the hyaluronic acid molecules. It requires a patch test 20 minutes before the procedure to check for allergy. The results can be visible immediately, and can be quite dramatic, as well as causing some initial swelling and bruising, so full results will be seen at 2 weeks.
